EPHESUS – HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY

Pick up from the hotel at 09:00. We will go to small town named Tire which was the mine production location of Greco Scritto marbles in ancient Roman period.Then we will go on with a visit to the best preserved and restored ancient city in Turkey. You will visit Ephesus which is known to be the commercial, religious, and social center of antiquity. Ephesus is probably the best combination of Greek, Roman and Byzantine civilizations. With the mythological stories and spectacular ruins, you will feel the ancient life in Ephesus.
Visit the fountains of Trojan, Polio, theTemple of Hadrian and Domitian, Private House, the Library of Celcius, Varius and Scolastica Baths, Bouloterion and the Great Theatre with a capacity of 24,000 spectators. After lunch, you will visit the House of Virgin Mary where she spent last days of her life, located on Mt. Koressos (Mount Nightingale). At the end of the tour you will be transferred to hotel. |

| After a 1,5-hour drive from İzmir, We will arrive in Pergamon whose main function was social and cultural as much as it was sacred. Built on a conical hill rising 1,000 feet above the surrounding valley, Pergamum is home to two of the country's most celebrated archaeological sites: Pergamum's acropolis and Asclepion are both listed among the top 100 historical sites on the Mediterranean. We will see the famed library, the terrace of the spectacularly sited hillside theater, the main palace, the Altar of Zeus, and the propylaeum of the Temple of Athena. In the early Christian era, Pergamum's church was a major center of Christianity and was one of the Seven Churches of Revelation.
