Dear Colleagues,

We are holding our "2nd International 4th National Childbirth Education and Educators Congress" which was postponed for a year due to the fact of the worldwide pandemic, again in Cesme, a beautiful district of Izmir. We are happy to be with you again after four years.

Being a birth educator/supporter is the experience of changing someone else's life. This experience enabled us to change not only the lives of mothers, fathers, and families that we prepared for birth, but also by touching our own lives. When we look back; the knowledge, feelings, thoughts and approaches of many of us have changed a lot since we first started. We have gradually grown and matured with every birth preparation training we have done, with every colleague we have trained in the field, with every congress we have held.

While the pandemic slowed us all down a little on this path, it actually allowed us to see “What We Can Only See When We Slow Down". While emphasizing the importance of living more simply/naturally, it also showed the power of technology. In addition to being an artificial tool, technology has become a tool that brings us closer and does not leave us alone in the process. Thanks to technology, we have reached our pregnant women and couples and strengthened them to make the right decisions. We have almost touched or tried to make it felt with the introduction of virtual reality into the field.

In parallel with our changing world / life, we will have the opportunity to grow again with the presentations of national and international birth educators who are competent in their subjects and with special and current courses and sessions that are very popular at this congress.

We invite all supporters of childbirth who know the impact of mind and soul on the experience of pregnancy and childbirth, work on this issue and are passionate about it to be together at this congress, as at every congress. Nurses, midwives, obstetricians and gynecologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, family doctors, doulas and obstetricians... Let's all be together and get enriched for the same aim.

In addition, we will continue the “BEST AWARDS” that have become the traditional award of our congress in the form of “THE BEST DESPITE THE PANDEMIC” at this congress.

The main theme of our congress is “Humanistic Birth in a Changing World, Despite Technology”
